Learners become more aware of the safe and the dangerous zones on their routes to school.Learners discuss ways to improve their safety on the way to and from school. Guidelines
Open this template in PowerPoint and make a map of the route you take to get to school.
Mark your starting and finishing point. Your starting point is wherever you usually leave from in the morning, and your finishing point is your school.
Mark the places where you feel safe, where you feel uncomfortable and the places where you feel threatened. Use as many icons, pictures, symbols and arrows as you need.
When you have finished compare and discuss with your classmates.
Tip:
You can do this on paper just as well if the computers are not available.
