Guidelines
All learners stand in a circle.
Instruct everyone that they are going to pass around an imaginary little bird from hand to hand. The bird is small and scared and you have to be very careful with him.
Start yourself by handing the little bird very gently into the hands of the learner beside you. Each learner in turn should pass the bird to the person next to them, The whole way around the circle.
When the bird comes back to you, you can let the bird fly away.
Tell the learners that they have just treated the bird with compassion and care and that is actually how careful we should be of both ourselves and others.
