How do you wake up?

From the minute we wake up in the morning until we fall asleep at night we are in contact with people. Sometimes this contact is active, when we are talking or listening to people, or when we are doing an activity together. Sometimes it is passive, like when we are sitting with people, but not taking part. Even when I am alone, I am with someone, and that someone is myself!

Spending so much time with people means that we have lots and lots of opportunities to build healthy, happy relationships – or unhealthy, conflicting ones. The choice is ours.

In this unit we will look at how we are relating to the members of our family between the time we wake up and leave our homes to go to school. And how does this affect the rest of the day, both for ourselves and others?
