Conflicts at break time

Break-time is a much needed interval in your day when you can relax a little, be with your friends and regain your energy for the rest of the day. It is also the time when many conflicts can start between learners. Because adults are often not around, these conflicts can sometimes become quite harmful and people can be hurt, both physically and emotionally when this happens.

As a young person faced with these conflicts, now is the time to start putting into practise all the skills you have learnt in the previous units. In the beginning it may seem as if you are not really succeeding, but remember; as you practise, you will become more skillful in resolving the conflicts you find yourself in, in such a way that you do not damage the relationship between yourself and other learners. And if you are the kind of person who often starts conflicts, what makes you do this? And what do you get out of it?
