After school

You have now learnt many skills that can help you to relate to others in a good, healthy way at different times of the day; from the time you wake up in the morning, to your journey to school, your time in class, at break and during the activities with your friends in the afternoons. Now we still need to look at some of the challenges you face before you get home in the evening. Sometimes these challenges relate to our physical and emotional safety as we encounter criminals and hazards on the roads. But often these challenges also arise as young people spend time in social gatherings with their friends.

These can be exciting times for you as a teenager, but they can also be difficult and confusing as you learn more about yourself, your friends and your sexuality. When looking at these issues, it is good to keep asking yourself; what kind of a person do I want to be and how do I want to relate to my friends and my world?
