Working together (5 mins)

This game builds group sensitivity, concentration and the capacity to let others also have their turn.

In this game the class has to count to 20 as a group and you have to follow certain rules:
The rules are:
You cannot count in any particular order in the class e.g. in rows.
You cannot communicate with each other, even non-verbally.
You cannot speak other than to call out a number.
Only one person can speak at a time.
If two or more people call out the same number at once, the group must start with “1” again.

Tip: Usually the counting has to start over several times before the group begins to concentrate intensely. You don't need to rush the counting; it is OK to have long pauses between numbers. The group will be most successful if all become sensitive to each another and watch carefully to see who will be calling a number next.
